ALA "Light the Way" Grant
The Association for Library Service to Children, a Division of ALA, and Candlewick Press are sponsoring a one-time grant of $5,000 for a library conducting exemplary outreach to underserved populations. ELF libraries seem like the perfect recipient with their Children's and Literacy Services partnership.
Special children's populations may include those who have learning or physical differences, speak English as a Second Language, are in a non-traditional school setting or family setting such as teen parents, foster children, etc., and those who need accommodation service to meet their needs.
